Raising Boys is Different.

A free guide to help you understand what may be beneath your son's behaviour.

Your son may not be difficult. He may be growing without a clear blueprint.

If you have ever felt confused, stretched or surprised by your son’s resistance, withdrawal or struggles, you are not alone.

Many of the challenges parents experience are not necessarily signs that something has gone wrong. They may be signs that a boy is growing, searching for independence and trying to understand the kind of man he is becoming.

This guide will help you look beyond the behaviour and consider what your son may need from you, the men around him and the wider community guiding his growth.

The guide will also offer a different way of understanding what boys need as they grow—and how parents can move from constantly correcting them towards building trust, responsibility and connection.

MEET COACH JOE

Helping Boys Grow Towards Manhood

I’m Joe Chan—a Youth and Manhood coach, former social worker and father of two boys.

For over 20 years, I have worked alongside boys, young men and their families. I have seen that boys do not need adults who simply correct their behaviour. They need adults who understand their world, recognise their strengths and walk intentionally alongside them.

This guide brings together insights from my professional work, my journey as a father and my belief that raising boys is not something families should have to navigate alone.
